I don’t know about you, but I absolutely loved summer growing up. It seemed like there was always something going on (pool days, camping, lemonade stands, picnics, and spending time outside). There are just so many fun things to do in summer!
One year, my childhood best friend spent the entire summer at his grandma’s house. He and I basically hung out together everyday since his grandmother was one of my neighbors. We played video games, watched movies, and also ate a lot of ice cream. To this day, I still cherish that summer as one of my favorites!
As I grew older, the season sort of lost its spark for some reason. A lot of my friends moved away and everybody kind of just grew apart. During high school and college, I didn’t really enjoy summer as much as I would have hoped. This year, though, I am determined to feel that summertime magic once again!
I love sticking checklists on my fridge and created a list of fun summertime activities to share with y’all. Even though the first day of summer technically isn’t until June 21st, why not start planning early? ☀

What are some fun things you want to do this summer? Any fun plans, vacations, events, etc.? Also, what’s your favorite summer memory? 🌻
What a great list! I’m used to living near a beach and having that as a go to activity, but since I moved this will be helpful for finding fun non-beach ideas!

Thanks, Lauren!! 💓 Adding beach and non-beach activities was important to me, for sure! I used to live right by the lake, but now I live more than 40 minutes away! Let’s just say I’ve been having a lot of movie nights and pool days haha!! Thanks for stopping by! 🌻
What a great list!!! Definitely going to check a bunch of these off this summer. 😉 Thanks for the ideas!
Aww, thanks for your sweet comment, hon!! 💖So happy you liked the list!
Great list!! I need to download this and do a few of these. I wanted to do so much this summer but I just find myself staying inside to avoid heat, crowds, and bugs. lol.
Thank you, Tanea!! 💛It’s been in the 90s in Chicago, so I’ve definitely been tempted to just stay inside too lol I gotta say though, lately, pool days and ice cream work wonders on a hot day for me hehe!! 💕🌻Thanks so much for stopping by!
A totally doable and fun list! I’m doing it!
Thanks, Jen!! 💗
LOVE these suggestions!
Thanks so much, Andrea!! Glad you enjoyed them!! 💛
I FREAKING LOVE THIS POST!!!! and your blog also! I’m deffs gonna make little list taken from your post on things I can here in the UK as the weather at the moment is very windy and cloudy haha 🙂 xx
Aww, thanks so much, hon!!! You’re so sweet!! 💛Totally can relate to the windy thing, since I live in Chicago hehe!! xx
This list is the makings of an awesome summer! I really, really want a vegetable garden! I think I’ll make it happen this summer!

Thank you, Dom!! 💖Ooh, that’d be absolutely lovely! My grandmother used to have a garden, and we always had tomatoes and peppers. So yummy! xx
Another great list! I should print it off and put it on my fridge. But summer doesn’t start until late June!? I had no idea! I wonder when it’s classified as summer in the UK.. I’d have to check that out. But tbh it rains a fair bit during summer anyway, so it’s not quite the same 😂 I also enjoy summer drinks (frappes all the way!) and outdoor cinemas, even a good old barbecue! Mmm.. when I get back to the UK it’ll be the height of our summer – I can’t wait now 😀 x
Thanks, dear!! 💗And I know, I was shocked too!! I looked it up the other day cause it’s already decently hot in Chicago and feels like summer! Ohh, outdoor movies are the best!! I haven’t been to one in years, but I want to do that this year too!! Also, I’ve never been to the UK but really want to visit one day. Rainy summer days can be the most beautiful and relaxing sometimes. x
