It’s been pretty busy these last couple of days. I’ll be going to Mat Kearney’s concert later tonight with my mom. Also, my baby brother’s birthday is on Sunday and he’s turning two! I was trying to decide on what to wear to the concert along with my makeup look. That’s when a blog idea came to mind! I wanted to share some of my favorite beauty products I’ve been loving lately!
Some of these products are classic and they’ve been my go-to finds for years. Others are newer but I’ve fallen in love with them very quickly!
Beauty Products I’ve Been Loving Lately
1. L’Oreal Paris Extra Intense Liquid Pencil Eyeliner
L’Oreal eyeliner has been my go-to since high school. Even though I’ve tried other brands (like NYX’s and e.l.f.’s lines), I always seem to pick up this one when I’m at the store.
It glides easily like a pencil liner but mimics the vivid look of traditional liquid eyeliner. Applying liquid liner can be tricky so I’ve found the extra intense brand to be very forgiving.
It’s definitely a favorite! Last December, I even featured it as one of the products used for my 2017 holiday look!
2. Maybelline The City Kits All-in-One Eye & Cheek Palette, Pink Edge
A new find I’ve been loving lately!
I’ve been really into creamy shadows these days after years of rocking a smokey eye! The colors in this palette are beautiful and pigmented! I wanted a natural look that’d go well with a bold lip for the concert today and the pink shadows compliment plum lipstick perfectly. I especially adore the selection of warmer tones like gold and brown. Perfect for any occasion!
3. Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick, Naughty Plum
I’ve always loved Revlon’s selection of lipsticks because I don’t find them to be as drying in comparison to other brands.
I usually wear “Plumalicious” but spotted “Naughty Plum” this month while shopping at Target. I decided to give it a try and have already worn it a few times!
The lipstick has that creamy feel when applied and it always adds a perfect finishing touch to a dewey, soft makeup look. Although it’s not as long lasting as pricier options, its gorgeous color, texture, and affordability make it a steal!
4. Nexxus Mousse Plus Volumizing Foam
Another classic! I’ve been buying Nexxus since the beginning of college and still adore it!
After trying out Tresemme, Paul Mitchell, and a few other products, my hair always felt weighed down and dry. Nexxus’ line is probably the best mousse I have ever used for my hair because it defines my curls and leaves my hair shiny and soft.
5. Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion
A must have for the winter season! Alejandro enjoys this one too!
My skin can feel pretty dry during those harsh winter days and Aveeno’s moisturizer has truly helped! I don’t wear moisturizer as often as I should but my mom recommended this product to me and I am so glad she did! It doesn’t feel greasy when you apply it to your skin and it’s also fragrance free! I have somewhat sensitive skin, so that’s definitely a plus!
6. Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes
There’s nothing quite like taking your makeup off at the end of the day!
Since I use a crayon liner and wear mascara often, makeup wipes are definitely a must-have.
These wipes take off most of your makeup and any leftover residue. They also are sensitive enough to use around your eyes and I’ve noticed that they don’t irritate my skin.
When I am getting ready for bed, I usually just need to wipe my makeup off with the wipes and wash my face.
Afterwards, I’m completely refreshed!
7. OGX Nourishing Coconut Milk Shampoo and Conditioner
Oh my gosh! I think this is my #1 from of the list! I’ve mentioned OGX shampoo before in my December favorites post but it has not been easy to find the perfect shampoo and conditioner throughout the years. I’ve tried so many different shampoos and none of them seemed to work, either because they dried out my hair or irritated my skin.
Recently, my hair has become oilier and no matter how much I researched, I just couldn’t pick out a shampoo that worked well for me.
I was in Walgreen’s with Alejandro sometime in December and found OGX shampoo and conditioner. I remembered that his mom mentioned it to me before and thought I should give it a chance. After all, it was only $8. What did I have to lose?
Well, I’ll be raving about this shampoo/conditioner for a while! My hair has become silkier and shinier after a few months of using OGX. I’ve even gotten compliments and I couldn’t be any happier!
Well, those were my beauty product favorites I’ve been loving lately.
I had such a fun time writing this and hope that you enjoyed. đź’•
