Hello, lovelies! Can you believe it’s that time of year again? 2017 absolutely flew by. I hope you’re having a wonderful holiday season and spending time with your loved ones! 🙂 I celebrated Christmas with family and friends, which makes me feel thankful. On Christmas Eve, we visited Alejandro’s family and went out to dinner at Cooper’s Hawk and Wine. Talk about yummy!  We spent Christmas Day at my grandma’s house opening up presents and eating LOTS of Italian cuisine. Thanks, Nonna. 🙂
Anyway, I wanted to share my Christmas 2017 look with you. I decided on a simple, no-fuss makeup routine because the holidays can be pretty stressful. Personally, I’m fussing over gift ideas, prepping food for holiday parties, and building snowmen. I just don’t have time to worry about the perfect holiday ensemble.
I know Christmas passed by the time you’re reading this but the look is versatile enough to work for any holiday or winter party, including New Year’s Eve! 🙂 <3 So without further ado, here’s my glamorously natural, hassle-free holiday look.
Alright, first thing’s first, start with a fresh-face. Follow your natural skin regime but make sure you’re make-up free. I typically don’t use anything on my skin. You lovelies know that I’m not exactly a makeup-guru but I’ve been trying to venture out of my comfort zone as of late. If you’re like me and can’t highlight/contour to save your life, I’d recommend starting off with concealer. It’s simple to apply and corrects small blemishes. I personally chose Maybelline’s Fit Me Concealer and loved the results. The concealer didn’t feel too cakey or heavy on my face and it blended well. This was essential for me since I wanted to stay as natural as possible. 🙂 I also applied L’Oreal True Match Lumi Powder Glow Illuminator and Milani Rose Powder Blush, which gave me a dewey, polished look.
My favorite part comes next, the eyes! <3 Audrey Hepburn is my style icon so I adore a nice winged look. It’s classy, simple, and compliments any fashion statement. As mentioned in my last make-up routine, I tend to stay loyal to my L’Oreal Paris Extra Intense Liquid Pencil Eyeliner. I’ve honestly used it since high school and even though I’ve experimented with a few other liners, I always go back to this one. It glides easily, is pigmented, and leaves you with a bold, clean wing.
Another makeup go-to that remains on my favorites list is L’Oreal’s Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara. Lovelies, I adore this mascara, whether I’m going for a daytime look or headed for a night on the town. I usually just apply a few strokes and I’m good to go. For this look, I applied a little more mascara than usual and felt instantly glamorous.Â
Finally, eyeshadowI 🙂 I blended the warmer browns of my Iconic 2 Redemption Eyeshadow Palette. This palette has so many colors to work with but all are natural and beautiful. The eyeshadow pulls the look together and will make your eyes pop!
Now that we’re all finished with your face and eyes, let’s get to the lips 🙂 Since the rest of this look is subtle, a darker lip will add the right amount of boldness. I chose Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Plumalicious, a rich yet delicate color that’s absolutely essential for any holiday look! In general for your lips, I’d recommend a darker red, plum, or burgundy color. <3
Well, what about the outfit? 🙂 When I pick out clothing, I typically go for cute but comfortable. Like I talked about earlier, Christmas time for me consists of hanging out with family. This includes my almost 2-year-old brother and Alejandro’s 10 and 8-year-old siblings. Needless to say, versatility is very important for me.
I decided to pair this long sleeve off-the-shoulder top from Aeropostale with a stretchy, burgundy pencil skirt that my Nonna bought for me. Unfortunately, this skirt came out last season but you can find something comparable at Khol’s, Target, or Charlotte Russe. At the moment, Kohl’s has a wine pencil skirt with lace hem on their website that would look great with Aeropostale’s off the shoulder top!
We can’t forget about heels! 🙂 I fell in love with Eloisa Satin Mary Jane Heel Pumps. They’re absolutely adorable and I got them at a bargain too–only $25!
Keep in mind that if you’re chilling at home and want to wear something a little more cozy, you can try replacing the skirt with some high wasted jeans. 🙂 Feel free to dress it up with a scarf and boots! So gorgeous!
I hope this gives you some fashion inspiration for the holiday season! <3
Be merry and have a wonderful time with the people that you love! 🙂
[…] L’Oreal eyeliner has been my go-to since high school. Although I’ve tried other brands (like NYX’s and e.l.f.’s lines), I always seem to pick up this one when I’m at the drugstore. It glides easily like a pencil liner but mimics the vivid look of traditional liquid eyeliner. Applying liquid liner can be tricky so I’ve found the extra intense brand to be very forgiving. It’s definitely a favorite! Last December, I even featured it as one of the products used for my 2017 holiday look! […]
