Fall is truly the dreamiest season of all. Maybe that’s because it brings changing leaves, crisp morning air, and magical decor. There’s just something special about this time of year. I’ve lived in Chicago for most of my life and have always looked forward to fall. As soon as September hits, I like to bring out my pumpkin candles and fairy lights. This year in particular, I keep thinking about what I should add to my own fall bucket list challenge!
Alejandro and I really want to go on a couple of road trips. Aside from traveling, I’m planning on baking more often during the next few months. I’ve kept a few recipes in my journal and look forward to making autumn themed sweet treats. Also, we are even thinking of throwing a Halloween party at our place! 🎃
Technically, fall isn’t until September 23rd. However, I couldn’t wait to make a fall bucket list challenge on the blog. (Y’all know I’m way too extra!) Last March, I wrote a 30 Days of Self Care Challenge and thought it would be super exciting to make a fall version! Since I’m posting my self care bucket list early, anyone who wants to do the challenge can print it out before fall! 💛
It’s time to get cozy and revamp your self care routine with this festive fall bucket list challenge! 🍂
Fall Self Care Bucket List Challenge
Day 1: Bake yummy pumpkin bread.
Get festive and make this classic sweet treat! You’ll warm up your kitchen with the comforting scent of pumpkin and spicy cinnamon. There’s something so magical about baking on a brisk autumn day! It’s one of my favorite things to do every fall after work. Last week, I found this Pumpkin Bread recipe on Pinterest and it looks delicious. Can’t wait to try out Jenn’s creation!
Day 2: Have a Disney Halloween movie marathon.
Who doesn’t love a feel-good DCOM marathon in October? Every year as a kid, I used to watch Halloweentown more than I’d like to admit before October 31st! 🎃 Do y’all remember when that Jesse McCartney music video would always come on during the commercials? Oh, the memories! Halloweentown aside, Disney has so many other fantastic Halloween flicks!
Just to name a few:
Twins (Alexandra and Camryn) reunite on their 21st birthday. The sisters soon find out that they have magical powers and have to work together in order to save their kingdom.
Three witches from 17th century Salem return to town in 1993 on Halloween night. What can possibly go wrong? This movie will truly put a spell on you. Pun intended.
After a fatal car accident, Barbara and Adam Maitland are trapped in their old countryside home. The couple attempts to scare away new homeowner Matilda and her daughter, Lydia. Along the way, they attract a mischievous spirit named Beetlejuice!
Ummm I freaking love this! So many good ideas, and honestly, you had me with that flawless list of Disney Halloween movies lol.

Aww, Chanelle! I bet the weather is so beautiful there right now! 💗Spring is such a gorgeous season too. You should definitely look for a spring photo challenge! I saw a few of those on Pinterest while I was looking for fall ones!!
Hocus Pocus is such a cute and fun movie! Alejandro and I wanna buy a physical copy this year instead of streaming it cause we love that movie! It’s such a Halloween classic lol x
It’s been a mixed bag so far, there’s been some nice days and some cold days. I will check Pinterest for photo challenges.
I used to love Hocus Pocus so much I would watch it when it wasn’t Halloween lol!
I love this post! Even though it still feels very summery where I live, I can’t wait for cosy autumn days with a nice book, a warm blanket, fairy lights and scented candles 😍
Thank you so much, Juliette!! 💛We’re getting the same weather in Chicago! Today was in the 80s, hot and humid — definitely not remotely close to fall weather lol!! 😂But omg same, I’m way too excited for the scented candles & all the cute fall themed decorations! It’s just so cozy! x
