It’s finally September. That means “spooky season” is among us! We often think about sending loved ones gifts on Christmas and their birthday. But what if they are a fall or Halloween lover? You can make someone’s day special with an adorable Halloween care package. š
When I was in college, I remember my mom used to send me care packages. One year, she sent me a Halloween one filled with delicious candy and a stuffed animal. After a long day of classes, I was excited to see something for me in the mail!
The person you love doesn’t have to be in college to receive one, though. Whether they live five minutes or five hours from you, it’s a great way to show them you care!
Also, we often think of kids getting gift baskets. They’re a lot of fun! But fun shouldn’t stop just because you’re an adult. Plus, who doesn’t love presents?
How To Make A Care Package
Making a Halloween care package is quite easy! It’s also completely customizable based on the gift receiver. These are some good tips from UPS’ website on how to create and send packages. Generally, they recommend sending non-perishable items.
If you’d like to send homemade food, they provide instructions on that as well. They also say sending small, easy-to-ship gifts is always the best choice.
As far as packaging goes, you can find tons of options online to hold your assortment of gifts. I like these gift boxes from Amazon because they look sturdy and simple. You can also choose from a variety of sizes. For wrapping, I’d recommend something light-weight like crinkle cut paper. This part is completely optional of course and purely decorative! š¤
Packaging Essentials Recap:
What about the actual gifts? Think about the person you love. What are some of their favorite things?
For example, I’d probably send my little brother chips, lollipops, a Spiderman shirt, and a toy car. It’s going to look way different for someone like my husband who would likely want a Sudoku workbook, chocolates, and a fancy whiskey set or something.
Here are some general ideas to get you started:
- Ā Chocolates
- Candies
- Stuffed animal
- Coloring book
- Blanket
- Crossword puzzle
- Socks
- Phone case
- Book
The choices are endless! Feel free to get creative with it and always go back to: what would make your person happy?
