Summer Days | Whimsical Photo Shoot

Hi lovelies! 💗 I hope you’re having a beautiful day! ☀️ Last weekend, the weather was in the mid-80s and gorgeous. Can’t think of a better time for a random summer days photo shoot! 

Before anything, we needed a whimsical setting. My grandma lives near the countryside. The town is so beautiful and magical — she even has a field near her house! Basically, this setting makes for an aesthetic Instagram photo lol! I’ve always loved fairy tales and whimsical stories, so I was super excited to take the photos that day. I actually felt like a woodland fairy!

Our little photo shoot session came at the perfect time. I bought a new outfit and wanted to share it with you!

Alejandro and I had so much fun working on the photo shoot together. Of course, we had to delete a few photos because we were laughing in between pictures. Overall, I think the photos came out really cute! 💛

Makeup

Favorites:

• ColourPop | Lunch Money Super Shock Highlighter
• Essence | Shine Shine Shine Lipgloss

To achieve that whimsical aesthetic, I chose UD’s Born to Run palette for my eyes. The forest green shade “wanderlust” in this palette is STUNNING! I made that the centerpiece of my eyeshadow look. I also used “weekender” (light beige) all over my lid and “good as gone” (medium brown) on the crease.

Next, I added a little bit more highlighter than usual and lipgloss!

Have y’all tried any of Essence’s lip glosses? They’re affordable and amazing quality. I read so many fantastic reviews about their lip gloss collection and fell in love. In the photos, I’m wearing “02 smile, sparkle, shine.” It’s my new go-to pinky-nude shade!

Outfit

Over the past few years, my style has changed quite a bit. I used to wear a lot of cutesy dresses in college and high school. Lately, I LOVE monochromatic outfits and sleek styles. I’m a huge fan of blazers, boyfriend jeans, midi-skirts, and culottes.

The other week, we visited American Eagle for the first time. I found these adorable floral culottes, plus a chic tank! Both pieces are so comfy to wear and I love the tank’s square neckline.

As for my accessories, I wore a simple gold necklace and earrings. Can’t forget the sparkly sandals that I borrowed from my mom…thanks Ma! 💗
