Hi, lovelies! 💛 Happy Wednesday! I hope you’re having a beautiful day! So, I’ve been pretty good about spring cleaning this year. I transitioned my closet for spring pretty early, tidied up our apartment, and organized our bookshelves and kitchen cabinets. Read on for my version of the “What’s in My Bag” blog post!
One area where I’ve been lacking though is the dreaded purse clean-out. Let’s just say my bag has seen better days. After fumbling through spare change, a bunch of old receipts, a Starbucks gift card, and a granola bar that I hadn’t even opened yet, I knew it was time to reorganize my bag.
Before heading out for the weekend, I said goodbye to all the junk and hello to a tidy tote!
Since my bag is now good as new, I thought it’d be the perfect opportunity to share a What’s in my bag blog post! Usually, I tend to keep necessities in my bag, along with a few new finds here and there.
What’s in My Bag? Blog Post
About a year ago, I purchased a Michael Kors bag and it’s been such a great investment! I went with a grey tote because of its neutral shade. Unlike hot pink or bright orange, I felt like grey would be versatile enough to match almost any outfit throughout the year.
In my closet essentials post, I mentioned that this tote is perfect for travel, but I also wear it almost every day! I love that the bag is spacious, stylish, and comfortable.
During wintertime trips to the mall, I was even able to fit my puffer coat into the tote. No more lugging around my coat as I browsed the racks– yay for hassle-free shopping!
The Necessities
Cactus Wristlet: About a week ago, I found this adorable convertible crossbody bag from Kohl’s, which features vibrant cactus designs. It has removable straps, so I’ve been using it as a wallet/clutch. I’ll keep my credit cards, some cash, and spare change inside the clutch.
Apartment Keys & Portable Charger: Of course, I have to carry my keys and phone charger at all times. A few months ago, Alejandro brought home a couple of portable chargers that his manager had given him as part of a holiday goodie bag. It’s been a lifesaver! Without a portable charger, I’ll feel a little anxious, especially since I’m not the best at keeping my phone charged!
iPhone: Last but certainly not least when it comes to necessities, my cell phone! I’ve had my iPhone 5S for years, but still like dressing it up with cute phone cases, like my aquamarine marble case.
Current Faves
LC Lauren Conrad Pink Sunglasses: Lauren Conrad has the cutest pastel sunnies! I just picked up these sunglasses a couple of weeks ago, and am obsessed!
Mermaids: The Myths, Legends, and Lore by Skye Alexander: Just before graduating college, one my favorite English professors gave me this book by Skye Alexander. I remember going through a bout of anxiety the summer after graduation and unfortunately didn’t pick it up much.
Recently, I noticed the book on my shelf and started reading it again. I’ve always been really fascinated with mermaids so this book was the perfect gift for me! On sunny days, I’ll bring it with me if I want to read outside.
Beauty Products
Bath and Body Works Spray + Lotion: I can’t get enough of Bath and Body Works sprays! At this point, I’ve built up a mini collection. Currently, my favorite spray/lotion combo from their line is “A Thousand Wishes.” Usually, I go for warm or fruity fragrances, but I’ve been really loving its sweet yet subtle champagne scent.
Lipsticks: As for makeup, I’ll either carry mascara or lipsticks. Lately, I’ve been enjoying Tarte’s Lip Paint in “Obsessed” and Urban Decay’s Lipstick in “Moshpit.”
Electronics
Macbook Pro: Often times, I like to write my blog posts at Starbucks or our local coffee shop, so I’m thankful that my Michael Kors bag is pretty roomy. It’s been such a breeze carrying my laptop around when I’m traveling or visiting my grandma on the weekends!
Canon G7x Mark II+ Tripod: Another electronic go-to! My G7x and tripod have been so useful for capturing blog photos on the go!
Random Stuff
Altoids, spare jewelry, hair ties, eyebrow tweezers, and bobby pins. I’ll also carry water or a quick snack, like granola bars.
I hope that you enjoyed this post, lovelies! Have a great rest of your Wednesday! Talk to you soon!

Omg, Francesca, you mentioning TARDIS reminds me that I need to start watching Dr. Who, I’ve been getting recommendations from friends and basically everyone hehe 😂😂
Out of curiosity, I checked out The Who Shop and saw the cuuuuutest tote, idk if that’s the one you mentioned but it’s adorable!! Looks like it’d fit a lot of stuff!! 🙂
